I believe this week is the start of my fourth week of working from home. It’s almost seems normal now, the ritual of waking up just before my daily scrum stand-up meeting conducted via Zoom. I roll out of bed, turn on my computer, and then make it seem like I’ve already been working for an hour. I’m pretty sure my co-workers know I wake up pretty late though. In any case, this is the new normal and I feel like I’m used to it now.
I know that when all of this is over and I will have to actually commute to work, it will feel completely odd and strange. Some people, perhaps myself included, might even prefer working from home at times. I’m hoping this experience might spur some discussion about it isn’t necessary to be at the studio all the time to be productive.
I hope everyone has a safe and satisfying week.
