We’re in a bit of a heat wave here in the greater Vancouver area. My apartment faces sorta north-west so I get direct sunlight towards the end of the day, late afternoon to early evening. That’s when my place heats up the most. When I arrived back home from work this evening, it was about 6:30pm and the sun had already been heating up my apartment. It was hot and stuffy. I decided to close all my blinds in my living room.
That actually made quite a difference. The rest of the evening wasn’t as warm and I could feel my living room cool down. Once the sun set, I opened my blinds again. Sure, I didn’t see the lovely pink sky as the sun went down but at least it was cool.
