Last week I finished playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare II and I had nothing else lined up to play. On a whim, I installed PowerWash Simulator when I saw it on PC Gamepass.
I expected to give a whirl for about an hour and then move onto my real next game to play but it surprised me. As the name of the game suggests, the gameplay simulates power washing various settings. You start off with basic equipment but even then, you can choose from different nozzle types, extensions, and cleaning solutions. The actual gameplay puts you in this zen state when you’re meticulously spraying away dirt and grime. It’s hard to describe but there’s something very satisfying about virtually cleaning.
You start off cleaning off small things like your own work van but you quickly take on jobs like cleaning cars, houses, playgrounds, and fire stations. You make money from each job, which you can then spend on better equipment and cleaning supplies.
An hour of cleaning can go by in a blink of an eye, which is an indication of how fun and rewarding it is to clean something as mundane as a wall.
If you have a chance to play this game, take a chance on it and give it an hour. You might be surprised at how it pulls you in.
